Productive away games

Away games for Manchester United have been productive. Southampton have been in form this season and sure pose a threat to the away game winning streak that Manchester United have been enjoying. No surprise, Donny getting a start, no change in the defence, Matic, Fred defensive midfield, Donny and Bruno supporting the striker. Rashford and Greenwood up front.

Up by two goals

Manchester started well and dominated position but a moments brilliance from a corner and a free kick turned the game towards The Saints. Not particularly a bad performance but still were behind and many a fans would have written it off for a Manchester United win.

The comeback

Given the inconstancy, any sort of comeback should see an early goal that would reduce the deficit for Manchester United. That was exactly what Bruno did and then the other goals came in with Cavani scoring two.

Take away

Glimpses of some retro Manchester United attitude. But I still don't see any strategy. Individual brilliance is all that I see.

The beginning blues for the RED side

Theatre of Dreams I have heard of it, but never made it to the 'Theatre of Dreams', fans from other Clubs would be envious about not only in England but beyond, of this beautiful fortress. Unfortunately this fortress been breached more that the share that would be tolerated by its Fans.  Sir Alex has for sure left a void but things have to move on and the next legend is what the fans across the world are looking for. No one is bigger than the club, but if you are chosen to play for this club, you better be prepared for an attitude that comes along with the culture that is second to none. Home game Vs Crystal Palace The line up did surprise me a bit, James or Greenwood. I preferred Greenwood, of course he was in the news for all wrong reasons but the boy needs to change things and what best, than a good game to shift focus. But Ole had other thoughts, probably to protect him.  A make shift defence for the visiting team was a huge plus for us and of course home ground (not ...

Chelsea in Old Trafford

A big match, both the defence were under scrutiny for sometime now. A good outing last week against New Castle and a good midweek Champions league game against PSG a welcome release for Ole. Confidence for Reds but should not get into over confidence is what all United Fans will be hoping for. On the other hand Chelsea had a good outing and confidence soaring as well. Two home defeats on the trout was a worry for the Reds. Nervy and tentative first half Trusted eleven is what Ole had gone with switching back to the four at the back. Packed midfield and probably the heat map would be showing completely red in the middle of the park and slightly on the Chelsea half. With both the teams having phase upfront, the midfield was looking for an error from reach other. Last seven to ten min saw some brisk phase but other wise a very tentative first half.  Should have looked up a little bit more missing out on swift passes and the missed chance from Rashford.  Work rate from McTominay a...

Against the inform Liverpool 24th October 2021

The hype was on but a loss was stacked up against Manchester United all through out. The current form, of the team, injury to defenders and pressure on the manager was not what the players wanted going int the game. First half Started with some hope with a good move by Manchester United but the final shot was skied by Bruno and then it was Liverpool all the way. Once Liverpool was in with the first, Manchester United was playing a formation that no one would understand or rather amateurs. Four players bothered about running forward and the other six trying to form a line in front of DeGea. No one was bothered about intercepting passes or even taken on the player with the ball...quite literally. Within no time it was 0-4 for the visiting team.  Second half The walk into the tunnel for Ole was the worst he has seen all this time in Old Trafford, a long lonely walk with words that he would have never heard from a ManUtd fan before that moment hitting his ears. A cruel position indeed ...
